Job summary

Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas, seeks a PRN OR Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under supervision of the Radiology Director, Medical Director and Radiology Manager.

Approximately half the time focuses on surgical fluoroscopic/radiographic procedures, the other half on a variety of imaging for inpatients, ER and outpatient services. Requires ARRT, Kansas licensure, and BLS. Prior OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program by the commission on accreditation of allied health education programs, AMA or other accrediting agencies.
• Current Kansas Board of Healing Arts license required upon hire.
• ARRT registry current in Radiologic Technology; BLS required.
• Knowledge of radiology operations related to surgical imaging including sterile technique, radiation safety, CR/PACS, C-arm merge boxes.
• Preferred 1-year related work experience as a Radiologic Technologist in the operating room.
• Strong interpersonal skills to train, maintain competence, and build confidence in OR staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including physicians.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs as directed.
• Perform fluoroscopic and radiographic procedures in surgery and other imaging for inpatients, ER, and outpatients.
• Assist with implementation of policies and procedures to meet accrediting agencies’ regulations and laws.
• Interface with other departments, physicians and their staff, patients, families, visitors, Radiology school and Radiology employees as needed.
• Perform duties of radiologic technologist, including call rotation coverage.
• Assist radiologists and other department technologists in performing exams and procedures as needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Underthe supervision of the Radiology Director, Medical Director and Radiology Manager, radiologic equipmentoperatesto produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Physician.

• Fiftypercentof time for this position involves aspects of the performance of fluoroscopic and radiographic procedures in surgery.The other fifty percent oftimefor this position involves a wide variety of imaging procedures with inpatients/ ER, and outpatient services.

• Preferred1-yearRelated Work Experience as a Radiologic Technologist in the Operating Room.

• Ability to effectively communicatewithawide rangeof individuals including physicians.
