Job summary

Menorah Medical Center is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to perform mammographic procedures with precise positioning, compression, and processing to produce high-quality diagnostic images for Radiologist interpretation. You will join a supportive team dedicated to patient care.

The role requires AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology training with Mammography certification, ARRT (R)(M) registration, BCLS within 30 days, and at least 1 year of Mammography experience.

Qualifications

• Prefer graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology and registered in Mammography.
• Must be registered with ARRT (R)(M).
• BCLS Required within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in Mammography.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Explain procedure and educate patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
• Develop and evaluate the film for technical quality such as density, contrast, definition and distortion.
• Assist the Radiologist with procedures as needed.
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

The Mammography Technologist performs mammographic procedures by applying proper ionizing radiation coupled with accurate positioning, compression, and processing techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by Radiologist.
