Qualifications

• ARRT registration required or must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist at MUSC, you have access to state-of-the-art imaging equipment to capture detailed X-ray images, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment planning for a wide range of medical conditions across 16 community hospitals including 3 level 1 trauma centers and many unique outpatient clinics across South Carolina. • Verifies patient identification, examination orders, and relevant clinical information prior to procedures.
• Positions patients appropriately and operates radiographic equipment safely and effectively.

• Reviews images for quality and completeness and obtains additional images when necessary.
• Follows radiation safety practices and applicable departmental and regulatory standards.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

Experience

0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience.

Required Registration/Certification

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), If not registered must obtain the registry within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
