Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures with strong anatomical positioning and physiology knowledge. You will use ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging and work with adult and pediatric patients, demonstrating high technical competency in imaging with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates have graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program and ARRT registration or eligibility, plus SC Radiology

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT certification required or obtain the registry within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist at MUSC, you have access to state-of-the-art imaging equipment to capture detailed X-ray images, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment planning for a wide range of medical conditions across 16 community hospitals including 3 level 1 trauma centers and many unique outpatient clinics across South Carolina. Compensation & Incentives

• Sign-on bonus: $15,000
• Shift Differentials: Weekend Day: +$2.30/hr
• Additional pay: (call pay, overtime etc.)

Shift Details

• Call requirements: Minimal call: only 3 on-call days every 13 weeks

Responsibilities

• Apply ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging in adult and/or pediatric populations
• Demonstrate a high level of technical competency in imaging procedures
• Exercise independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity with minimal supervision

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

Experience

0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience.

Credentials

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), If not registered must obtain the registry within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
