Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent to gain comparable job knowledge.
• Training in assigned competencies such as oxygen equipment and monitoring is required.
• Ability to follow oxygen transport policy and monitor tank levels during transport.
• Frequent standing and long walking are required.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs and handling weights with bending and twisting.
• Repetitive motions like grasping and dexterity are used daily.
• Basic patient lifting techniques taught in-service.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Patient transport for OR and ED as primary duty.
• Answer calls and complete runs quickly.
• Ensure safety and efficiency in transport.
• Handle patient and equipment with care.
• Provide comfort to patients during transport.
• Transport materials and supplies as needed.
• Must be able to push patients in bed or wheelchair and stand for long periods.
