Job summary

US Fertility is seeking an experienced OR/PACU RN to join the team at RMA of New York Long Island in Melville, New York. This per diem role runs 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET, with compensation of $45 to $47.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The role offers growth within a nationally respected organization, with collaboration across a large network of physicians and clinical teams, and opportunities to advance in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• RN license current and active.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• 2–3 years of Operative/Procedure Room or PACU experience preferred.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to input/retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Clear and concise communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate care plans.
• Perform initial preoperative assessment and develop a care plan, explaining subsequent phases of surgery.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patient and family.
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients with various anesthesia or sedation.
• Administer medications via IV and other routes as directed.
• Provide patient education.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN to join our team at RMA of New York Long Island in Melville, New York.

• Schedule: Per diem; when working, 7:00AM to 3:00PM Eastern Time
• Compensation: $45 to $47.50 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the OR/PACU RN will:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provide patient education

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
