Job summary

US Fertility in San Ramon, California, is seeking an OR/PACU RN Part-Time to join the team at the Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Schedule: Friday and Monday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, plus two holidays per year. Compensation: $68 to $73 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 2–3 years PACU/OR experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to input and retrieve information from a computer.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient care problems using advanced assessment skills.
• Conduct initial preoperative assessment and plan perioperative care.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patient and family.
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients with various anesthesia or sedation.
• Administer medications via IV and other routes as directed.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN Part-Time to join our team at Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in San Ramon, California.

• Schedule: Friday and Monday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and two holidays per year

In this role, the OR/PACU RN will:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provide patient education

Qualifications and Skills Include

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
