Job summary

US Fertility is seeking an OR/PACU Registered Nurse (Part-Time) at the Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in Menlo Park, California. This role offers weekend schedules (Fri, Mon and Sat/Sun with specific hours) and compensation ranging from $68 to $73 per hour, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license with BLS and ACLS, and have 2–3 years of PACU/OR experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 2–3 years of Operating/Procedural Room or PACU experience preferred.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to input/retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial preoperative assessment and establish a care plan for surgery.
• Identify patient care problems using advanced assessment skills and formulate plans.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and families.
• Demonstrate proficiency caring for patients with various anesthesia/conscious sedation.
• Administer medications via IV and other routes as directed.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN Part-Time to join our team at Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in Menlo Park, California.

• Schedule: Friday and Monday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday; 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM; every weekend and two holidays per year
• Compensation: $68 to $73 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the OR/PACU RN will:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provide patient education
