Job summary

US Fertility, part of a national network that includes Shady Grove Fertility, is seeking an OR/PACU RN for its Fairfax, Virginia location. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with 2 holiday days per year, and opportunities to grow within a nationally respected organization serving patients daily.

You will collaborate with a broad team of physicians and staff, perform preoperative assessments, manage anesthesia-related care, and provide comfort and support to patients

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 2–3 years of operating room or PACU experience strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient care problems and formulate a care plan.
• Perform initial preoperative assessment and explain the plan of surgery.
• Provide comfort measures and support to patient and family.
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients under various anesthesia or sedation.
• Administer medications IV and by other routes as directed.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Fairfax, Virginia.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM; with 2 holidays per year

In this role, the OR/PACU RN will:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
