Job summary

Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL seeks a Full-Time Surgical Technician (ORT) to support the operating room team. The ORT prepares and sets up for cases, manages supplies and equipment, and works under RN supervision.

The role requires readiness for 10- or 12-hour shifts with call rotation. Completion of a Surgical Technician program is required; high school diploma is expected, and one year of OR experience is preferred to help anticipate patient and physician needs within approved policies

FT Surgical Tech (ORT) job 10 or 12 hour shift- 6:30am-5pm or 6:30 -7p with call rotation.

The Operating Room Technician (ORT) functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and performs delegated job functions such as planning, preparing and setting up for cases, and managing supplies and equipment. The work that is performed is done under the established policies and procedures of the institution and according to the experience and scope of educational requirements of the individual and applicable legal guidelines. The ORT will be expected to anticipate the needs of the patient and physician and make decisions within the scope of their practice. rec:max

High School graduate. Completion of a Surgical Technician Program in a technical or Jr. College or Hospital based program.

One Year OR Job Experience As An ORT Preferred.
