Job summary

Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA is seeking a Nurse Assistant supervisor for the Operating Room. The role oversees nursing assistants, enforces infection control, and assists with patient transport and positioning.

Responsibilities include scheduling, tracking education requirements, and providing coaching and corrective action as needed. Access to medication storage areas may be required in support of duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience is required.
• Experience in the surgical setting with demonstrated leadership ability or past management experience preferred.

Job Details

Performs a variety of specialized support functions as well as nursing assistant duties. Essential functions include managing nursing assistants in their day-to-day operations, maintaining infection control standards, assisting with patient transport and positioning and maintaining related supply levels within the operating room. Other supervisory responsibilities will include team member schedule preparation, tracking educational requirements, and performing coaching and corrective action as needed. May have access to areas where medications are stored and/or prepared for purposes of fulfilling job duties.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience.

Experience in the surgical setting with demonstrated leadership ability or past management experience preferred.
