Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room (Main OR) at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN. This Full Time Days role supports scrub and circulating duties, assists surgeons, and ensures OR readiness and patient care throughout the perioperative period.

The candidate will hold an Indiana nursing license, a nursing diploma, and current ACLS and BLS certifications. Previous OR experience is preferred in a Catholic health system focused on service and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Indiana (or eligible)
• One or more of: ACLS within 6 months of hire; BLS within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub functions: select and handle instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions: monitor, record and communicate patient condition; manage overall nursing care.
• Direct assist to operating physician with hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure; assist with patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
