Mercy St. Louis Hospital offers an Operating Room Nurse Residency Program designed for nursing students completing senior practicum hours. Participants are paid a stipend and work alongside Mercy nurses while earning an RN residency in the OR.

The program spans five months of residency with one additional month of mentorship, followed by a transition into a specialty mentorship. Residency hours are Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, with a 30-minute call time requirement.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri.
• BLS certification required.
