Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment. The ideal candidate will deliver patient care using the Nursing Process, supervise licensed and auxiliary staff, and ensure quality outcomes while honoring diverse patient needs and the department's goals.

Required: RN license in the practicing state, BLS certification, and 1 year of RN experience. A Bachelor’s in nursing and clinical specialty certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in state of practice and BLS certification are required.
• One year of RN experience is required.
• Clinical specialty certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care using the Nursing Process to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Assess patient learning needs and provide appropriate teaching.
• Delegate and coordinate nursing team resources within the interdisciplinary team.
• Use data to evaluate care and promote improvements in outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with laws, standards, and the organization’s policies.
