Job summary

SCA Health in Melbourne, FL is seeking a perioperative nurse to support patient care throughout the perioperative episode. The role focuses on assessing patient status, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient perioperative journeys.

Ideal candidates will be graduates of an accredited nursing program with 1 year of OR or medical/surgical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
• BLS within 90 days of employment or current certification.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment or current certification.
• PALS if pediatric care is included in facility scope within 90 days or current certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
