Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to support its perioperative teams across one or more surgical service lines. The role requires delivering high-quality, age-appropriate patient care in a multidisciplinary setting and maintaining effective relationships with physicians, anesthesia and clinic staff.

Qualified candidates will hold an ASN or higher, Texas RN (or compact) license, and BLS certification, with 2+ years OR

Qualifications

• ASN or higher nursing degree required.
• Active Texas RN or compact license.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• 2+ years operating room RN experience.
• Experience in ASC or hospital setting.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS and/or PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical service lines following AORN/ASPAN standards.
• Demonstrate age-specific patient care and collaborate with ASC/Clinic teams.
• Communicate patient conditions clearly to physicians, anesthesia, management, staff, patients, families, and visitors.
• Abide by organizational policies and procedures for safe operative nursing care.

Education

ASN or higher (Associate of Science in Nursing)

Active Texas RN license or compact license

Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)

2+ years RN experience in Operating Room

RN experience in ASC or hospital setting

BSN (preferred)

ACLS; PALS (preferred)
