Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Education appropriate to RN licensure (ADN/Bachelor's/Master's or RN Diploma).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including intravenous therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver evidence-based perioperative care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to improve surgical workflow.
