Job summary

MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center is seeking a skilled Inventory Clerk to receive, stock, and distribute supplies for the OR and related departments. You will maintain accurate records, perform counts, and ensure timely replenishment while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualification includes a High School Diploma or GED and experience with computerized inventory systems. Proficiency in English and basic math are essential for daily tasks and effective collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year 6 months related experience required.
• Experience with computerized inventory management systems preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak or communicate in English to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the position.
• Basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Receives, inspects, stores, delivers and issues materials, supplies and equipment.
• Maintains inventory levels by checking shelves, restocking supply carts and maintaining supply records.
• Assists in replenishment orders and coordinates distribution to OR/department areas.
• Ensures accuracy of shipment against purchase orders and records discrepancies.
• Performs physical and cycle counts, and supports standard operating procedures and safety standards.
