Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to support the unit director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing services. This role provides managerial presence across shifts and ensures patient care meets quality standards.

The ANM will utilize the nursing process to oversee clinical and operational activities, mentor staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced acute care setting in Anchorage, Alaska.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BS/BSN) required.
• Alaska RN license required at hire.
• BLS required at hire (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Support unit director/manager in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating nursing services.
• Provide managerial presence for all shifts.
• Utilize the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities on the assigned unit.
• Lead on-shift coordination and supervision of nursing staff.
