This role combines advanced scrub responsibilities with leadership duties focused on OR readiness, instrumentation management, staff support, inventory coordination, and cross-functional collaboration with Central Processing, Materials Management, Clinical Support, Education, and Management teams. Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures. Set up and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. Maintain sterile technique and monitor equipment during procedures. Facilitate on-time OR starts and efficient room turnovers. Coordinate staff break and lunch coverage as needed. Scrub cases to support operational needs. Review and prepare upcoming surgical cases. Ensure case cart accuracy and equipment availability. Collaborate with surgeons to maintain preference cards. Partner with Central Processing on workflow improvements and instrument optimization. Support inventory management and equipment maintenance. Train and mentor surgical technologists on equipment use and best practices.
