Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Sterile Supply Transport Associate to support the OR and SPS by delivering surgical instruments, supplies and equipment. You will transport sterile case carts and vendor trays to the OR, and move soiled instrument carts to SPS for reprocessing after each case.

You will assist with next-day case picking, respond to requests, organize storage areas, and help maintain instrument tracking systems.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Able to lift 40 pounds.
• Knowledge of safety standards and HIPAA.
• Excellent interpersonal communication.
• Ability to prioritize daily work and work in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment to OR.
• Transport case carts and trays to the OR and SPS.
• Prepare and pick surgical cases for the next day.
• Maintain instrument tracking using SPM and Tecsys systems.
• Inspect sterility and stock inventories.
• Follow AAMI, AORN, and HIPAA standards.
