Job summary

Hartford HealthCare in the Greater Manchester Region seeks an experienced OR/SPS Support Technician to ensure timely delivery of surgical instruments and supplies. You will pick case carts, deliver and decontaminate instruments, and coordinate with SPS to maintain availability for surgeries.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and speak English required.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Follows AAMI, AORN and HIPAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to OR by delivering needed instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Execute case cart picking with proper sheets and documentation.
• Retrieve soiled case carts and deliver to decontamination per standards.
• Deliver instruments and supplies to OR and stock clinical areas.
• Use instrument tracking systems to monitor inventory and trace items.
• Inspect and maintain sterility of packages and instruments.
• Maintain SPS inventory in OR cores and replenish supplies.
• Perform other related duties as required.
