Job summary

Wexner Medical Center seeks an Instrumentation Coordinator to streamline surgical instrumentation across the enterprise. You will coordinate daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing, ensuring timely decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments.

You will also procure and organize instrument trays globally, support process improvements, and maintain high standards of infection control and customer service across multiple sites including Ross Heart Hospital

Qualifications

• HS Graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist.
• CRCST certification issued through IAHCSMM or CBSPD required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing to facilitate efficient case flow.
• Oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization / high-level disinfection of all reprocessed surgical inventory.
• Order, procure, and organize instrument trays on a global level to service the entire Enterprise.
• Promote customer service and patient satisfaction through effective communication with Operating Room operations and sterile processing departments across the Medical Center.
