Job summary

University Health is seeking an Instrument Tech within its Sterile Processing department. The role focuses on decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, and dispatch of surgical instruments to support the Operating Room staff.

Candidates will build knowledge of preparation standards and comply with departmental policies. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and CRCST certification within one year of hire; experience in University Health System is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CRCST certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Experience within University Health System is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, and dispatch of surgical instruments.
• Ensures timely delivery of sterile instrumentation to Operating Room staff.
• Maintains knowledge of standards and procedures for instrument preparation, sterilization, storage, and delivery.
• Complies with UHS and Departmental policies.
