Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an OR/Sterile Processing Liaison to support the Sterile Processing and Operating Room teams. The role focuses on maintaining instrument availability, coordinating decontamination and sterilization, and driving performance improvements.

The position requires experience in perioperative or sterile processing, with preference for Surgical Technology background and leadership experience. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in perioperative, sterile processing or healthcare support required.
• SPD knowledge with strong customer service, teamwork, multitasking, attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serves as liaison between the Sterile Processing and Operating Room departments to ensure instrument support and effective communication.
• Coordinates decontamination, processing and sterilization of instruments and turnover for immediate use or terminal sterilization.
• Coordinates with the Sterile Processing Manager to implement plans and improve performance.
• Anticipates surgical team needs and participates in daily rounds.
• Maintains inventory of instruments and ensures instrument availability for patient needs.
