Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a West Operating Room Registered Nurse in Warrenville, IL. The role requires clinical nursing competency and RN licensure to prescribe, delegate, and coordinate perioperative care using the nursing process.

You will collaborate with anesthesia, physicians, and the team to deliver high-quality patient care, ensure safety, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of acute nursing experience within past five years in Women and Children’s Services.
• BSN is required for all new hires as of 1/1/2011; PALS and/or NRP certification depending on area.
• Proficient in computer use and English communication, both written and verbal.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care following ANA and AORN standards.
• Coordinate care with anesthesia, physicians, and the health care team.
• Ensure patient safety and accurate documentation; discharge planning as needed.
