Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs established nursing procedures following hospital policies and standards.
• Assess and address patient education needs and readiness to learn.
• Develops and updates plan of care with input from interdisciplinary team and patient/family.
• Initiates and coordinates communication with physicians and other providers.
• Monitors patient response to treatments and adjusts care as needed.
• Prioritizes nursing care for assigned patients and participates in discharge planning.
• Documents nursing actions and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Collaborates with team to ensure safe delivery of care and adherence to standards.
