Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking experienced RNs to join our regional Surgical Services Float Pool. You will support multiple Wake region ORs across Winston-Salem, Bermuda Run, North Wilkesboro, Elkin, High Point, and Lexington, providing varied contract-labor style flexibility with the stability of a permanent role.

The role requires OR experience, NC RN license, BCLS, and a willingness to float across our facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of one year Operating Room experience or participation in a post-graduate program required.
• 3 years of experience strongly preferred.
• Refresher course required for nurses who have not worked in an Operating Room for five years or more.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
• BCLS required.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely computerized communication of patient information.
• Demonstrates cost containment activities.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients and family members in an effective, positive, and professional manner.
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and for professional growth and development.
