Qualifications

• Four (4) years of nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role in an acute care hospital.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Understanding of patient classification and staffing requirements for the patient population.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).

Responsibilities

• STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT: Develop and implement strategic plans, goals and business initiatives for department growth and revenue.
• HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Manage bed and patient placement, staffing, credentialing, orientation, evaluation and disciplinary processes.
• FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Monitor financial performance; analyze costs and optimize resource utilization.
• CLINICAL PRACTICE KNOWLEDGE: Ensure compliance with policies, laws, codes, and HIPAA; develop department policies.
• PATIENT SAFETY, QUALITY, AND PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT: Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor data.
• CUSTOMER AND PATIENT ENGAGEMENT: Ensure high patient satisfaction and staff training; resolve complaints timely.
