Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join the Burnet Campus team. You will prepare unit doses, support medication delivery, replenish ADCs, and compound sterile and non-sterile medicines in a fast-paced environment.

Required: at least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience, active OH Board of Pharmacy registration, and PTCB certification (or ability to obtain within 18 months). High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active OH Board of Pharmacy registration.
• PTCB certification and OH Board certification within 18 months.
• ASHP accredited program graduate or licensed as Pharmacy Intern or 6 months related experience.

Responsibilities

• Medication Orders - unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses.
• Non-sterile, non-hazard dose preparation for first fill or cartfill including oral syringes.
• Delivery of patient specific doses.
• Prepare and perform ADC replenishment.
• Compounding - non-sterile, non-hazardous medications.
• Phone triage for outpatient pharmacy.
• Insurance adjudication.
• Medication storage inspections.
• Interact with hospital computer systems and dispensing machines.
