Job summary

North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton, CO is seeking an Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN) to lead the OR team on designated shifts, ensure patient care continuity, and supervise staff. You will liaise with surgeons, other staff, and vendors, and help coordinate the OR schedule.

Requirements include Colorado RN licensure (or multi-state), BLS, BSN preferred, and two years of acute care OR experience plus prior charge nurse experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse (or active multi-state license).
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• Two (2) years of acute care experience as an Operating Room (OR) RN.
• Previous charge nurse/service coordinator experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all functions in the OR Department on designated shifts.
• Provide care direction and supervision to other OR staff.
• Ensure department compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with specialty team members, surgeons, and vendors as a resource.
• Verify OR schedule and preference cards accuracy; assist with OR flow with schedulers.
• Includes required on-call duties.
