Job summary

St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas seeks an RN Clinical Coordinator to coordinate clinical and department activities, lead shifts, and serve as a clinical resource for the team.

You will ensure quality care, collaborate with physicians, and assign duties while modeling ethical practice and professional standards. Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or endorsement, 1 year of RN experience, and an active RN license.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or by endorsement
• One (1) year of clinical RN experience
• RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
• Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides leadership, support, and coordination of unit’s daily operations during designated shift.
• Assists in directing, organizing, and prioritizing all shift activities ensuring patient care and staff needs are met.
• Ensures appropriateness of admissions/cases to the unit/department and that appropriate staff skill mix exists to provide safe patient care. Liaison to the multidisciplinary patient care team.
