Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tyler, TX seeks a day shift, full-time General Surgery Clinical Coordinator RN for OR. This role leads nursing staff, ensures quality care, and aligns with hospital mission while managing patient flow in the OR.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an approved nursing program, Texas-licensed RN, with BLS (ACLS preferred) and at least two years of OR experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred; ACLS may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises staff members assigned to the department, supports and interprets the hospital mission and promotes harmonious relationships among nursing personnel, medical staff, ancillary departments, patients and families.
• Provides for the delivery of care to a specific group of patients and evaluates the quality of that care in a systematic fashion, in order to improve care.
• Ensures care is delivered within the framework of hospital philosophy and approved budget, and in concert with other departments and services within and outside of the hospital.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
