Job summary

UT Health Tyler is seeking a day shift, full-time General Surgery Clinical Coordinator RN for the OR in Tyler, TX. The role involves directing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring delivery aligns with hospital philosophy and budget.

You will ensure age-appropriate care and support a multidisciplinary team including nursing and medical staff. Ideal candidates are RNs licensed in Texas, with BLS and preferably a BSN and 2+ years OR experience; ACLS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing and licensed as an RN in Texas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: BSN; 2+ years OR experience; ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises staff in the department and promotes harmonious relationships.
• Delivers care to a defined patient group and evaluates care quality.
• Ensures care aligns with hospital philosophy and approved budget.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate patient care.
