Job summary

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student rotations in acute care.
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively.
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
• RN licensure; BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered nursing care in line with policies and the nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments, documents findings, and reports changes promptly.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for adverse effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in life‑saving interventions as needed.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post‑discharge care.
• Maintains infection control practices and safety standards.
• Documents care thoroughly in the medical record and participates in audits.
