Job summary

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Operating Room Circulator RN to join our surgical services team. You will coordinate and oversee patient care throughout the perioperative experience, serving as a key advocate for patients during surgery and collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited School of Nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN) with current RN licensure in the state.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state or compact
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Advocate for patients throughout the perioperative experience.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and team members for optimal outcomes.
• Perform comprehensive pre- and post-operative assessments and create care plans.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record and communicate care plans.
