Qualifications

• ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications required for perioperative care.
• Associate Degree in Nursing is required; CNOR preferred or pursued.
• Two years of nursing experience in surgery or acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Advocate for the patient before, during, and after surgery.
• Complete safety checks before and during procedures.
• Ensure equipment, trays, and supplies are ready for cases.
• Develop and execute peri-operative patient care plans.
• Maintain patient stability and surgical site care.
• Communicate risks, plan of care, and rehabilitation with patient.
• Document the surgical process accurately and completely.
• Report patient safety concerns through the reporting system.
• Protect patient privacy and health information.
• Foster collegial relationships with interprofessional team.
• Provide age-specific, culturally competent care within legal standards.
