Job summary

Marietta Eye Surgery Center is seeking a RN OR Circulator/Pre/PACU on a full-time basis. The nurse is responsible for patient safety in the preoperative phase and assists with supervision of nonprofessional staff according to the Director of Surgical Services.

The role requires Georgia licensure and active BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with at least 1 year of preoperative or acute care experience. Candidates must be proficient in sterile technique and support standard policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia licensure required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year preoperative or acute care experience preferred.
• Proficient in sterile technique and aseptic practices.
• Ability to follow policy, document accurately and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care with surgery staff as needed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for preop, PACU and emergencies.
• Explain procedures and provide reassurance to patients.
• Assess symptoms and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Monitor and manage pain in accordance with orders.
• Prepare operative area and position patient per policy.
• Complete OR documentation and verify surgeon preferences.
• Follow up with physicians and patients post-op as required.
• Support in development and maintenance of department procedures.
