Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Main OR Team on a short-term, 12–13 week contract. The role is a full-time schedule requiring 36–40 hours per week.

As an OR circulator you will start with patient check-in and assignments, manage the intra-operative period, ensure patient advocacy, and document care from OR to PACU. You will work with physicians and operating teams on varied procedures.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years Operating Room Circulating Nursing experience required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Florida.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition.
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement.
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care.
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Act as the patient advocate.
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.
• This position will require call.
