Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Main OR in Jacksonville, FL. This short-term contracted position requires 36-40 hours per week for 12-13 weeks and is a full-time assignment.

You will work with physicians and operating teams, starting with patient check-in and assignments, matching the day’s schedule, and caring for patients intra-operatively as their primary advocate. Call is required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years Operating Room Circulating Nursing Experience Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
• Associate of Science, Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR.
• Act as patient advocate and ensure safe, effective intra-operative care.
• Educate patients and families about disease process and care plan.
• Coordinate with physicians and hospital departments during procedures.
• Participate in unit meetings and other activities.
• This position requires on-call responsibilities.
