Job summary

Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Internal Traveler Registered Nurse for the Main OR to support a 12–13 week, 36–40 hour per week, contracted schedule. This is a full-time position within the Main OR team.

As the circulator, you will work closely with surgeons, manage intraoperative care, advocate for patients, educate families, and coordinate with ancillary services to ensure safe and efficient procedures.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years Operating Room Circulating Nursing experience required.
• BLS - Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients undergoing medical or surgical procedures.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes and plans of care.
• Interact with physicians and hospital staff to coordinate care.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Act as the patient advocate throughout the intra-operative period.
• Participate in staff meetings and unit activities.
