Job summary

Baptist Downtown is seeking a Registered Nurse (OR Circulator) for a 12-13 week contract in Jacksonville, FL. The RN will support intraoperative care, maintain patient advocacy, and ensure seamless coordination with the surgical team.

The role requires 2–3 years of OR circulating experience, ASN and active RN license, plus BLS and ACLS. This temporary position may involve call and rotation, with shifts of 36–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

This is a short-term contracted position requiring a commitment of 36-40 hours per week for 12-13 weeks. This is a full-time position.In this role you will work closely with skilled physicians and operating teams. Your day will start with a check-in and patient assignments. Depending on the day's surgery schedule you may work with a singular patient for a complex case, or you may work with multiple patients having shorter procedures. As a circulator you will only ever work with one patient at a time. You will meet your patients in the OR, and you will remain with them for the duration of their procedure and ensure they are appropriately cared for until transferred to PACU care. As a nurse circulator you will be the patient’s primary advocate, responsible for the delivery and documentation of patient care during the intra-operative period.
