Job summary

The OR Circulating Nurse at Physicians Surgery Center of Chattanooga provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN will position and prep patients and circulate the case, supporting ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology and gynecology procedures.

Ideal candidates possess an RN license in the state, BLS/ACLS/PALS as required, 1 year of circulator experience, and a commitment to infection control and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS as required by the center
• A minimum of 1 year experience working as a Circulator
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during surgery cases as the OR Circulating Nurse
• Position and prep the patient, and circulate the case
• Support ophthalmology, orthopedics, otolaryngology and gynecology procedures
• Maintain infection control standards and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
