Job summary

Doctors United Surgery Center in Texas seeks an experienced OR Supervisor to oversee the operating room team, coordinate daily case flow, and ensure smooth scheduling across OR, radiology and anesthesia staff. You will prepare monthly call schedules and lead in-service sessions for OR, radiology and anesthesia techs.

Applicants must be a Texas-licensed RN with BLS, ACLS and PALS, at least 3 years of surgery experience, and strong communication and multi-tasking abilities to work with physicians,

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Three (3) years experience in surgery.
• Current Texas RN License.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
• CNOR preferred.
• Independent decision making and multitasking.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the OR staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases.
• Assists in coordination of daily case scheduling in the O.R. with other staff to ensure schedule will flow smoothly.
• Prepares monthly call schedules.
• Prepare, coordinate and perform monthly O.R. staff meetings for all OR, radiology, and anesthesia techs.
• Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and provide efficiency and smooth case flow.
• Orders instruments and equipment for cases.
