Job summary

Bon Secours in Richmond is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operative team at St. Francis Medical Center. The role prepares sterile instruments, maintains aseptic technique, and ensures supplies and equipment are ready for procedures.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in Surgical Technology and CST/NBSTA/TS-C certification, with BLS preferred. The position offers full-time hours, day and evening shifts, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTA or TS-C certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt of special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
