Job summary

Banner Health’s Banner University Medical Center Phoenix seeks an anesthesia technician to maintain anesthesia supplies and equipment, assist with invasive line preparation and monitoring, and manage inventory for the workroom and carts.

You will collaborate with anesthesia providers and OR staff, support room turnover, and help prepare IVs, monitors and related equipment for procedures in a large teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• 1 to 2 years of related healthcare experience.
• Anesthesia technician academy within 6 months for hires after 1/1/2024.

Responsibilities

• Maintain anesthesia equipment, perform routine safety checks and restock supplies.
• Stock anesthesia carts and operating rooms; assist with case turnover.
• Assist with preparing ventilators, suction, airway equipment and invasive monitoring lines.
• Assist anesthesia personnel with setup and insertion of invasive lines and monitoring.
• Transport and position patients as needed; ensure equipment safety.
