Job summary

Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking a Per Diem Anesthesia Technician to support surgical procedures by ensuring anesthesia equipment and supplies are ready and functioning. You will assist in preparing operating rooms and help deliver safe anesthesia care.

The role requires a high school diploma and BLS certification; ASATT credentials preferred. You will work onsite in Boston, with day shifts and competitive hourly pay, and opportunities to grow with Mass General Brigham.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification preferred; Cer.A.T ASATT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure anesthesia carts are supplied, and machines are in each room prior to the beginning of the surgery schedule and between procedures.
• Checks and replaces anesthesia gas tanks as needed.
• Retrieve special anesthesia supplies anticipated by the person administering the anesthetic during surgery.
• Prepares complex equipment and supplies for hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ensures monitoring equipment and supplies are ready.
• Ensures the anesthesia machine is ready for use, including troubleshooting and correcting problems.
