Job summary

Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support surgical/anesthesia teams by ensuring equipment and supplies are ready, functioning, and available for procedures. The role involves stocking carts, preparing monitors, and assisting with patient positioning as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, BLS, and familiarity with anesthesia equipment and monitory systems; ASATT preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• BLS Certification - Data Conversion not required; ASATT certification preferred.
• Experience with anesthesia equipment and monitors a must; ability to support anesthesia care team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure anesthesia carts are stocked and machines are ready in each room before surgery and between procedures.
• Check and replace anesthesia gas tanks as needed.
• Retrieve anesthesia supplies anticipated by the provider before and during surgery.
• Prepare complex equipment for hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ensure monitoring equipment and supplies are ready for use.
• Troubleshoot and ensure the anesthesia machine is ready; perform equipment inspections daily.
