Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist anesthesiologists in the OR, prepare medications and supplies, and maintain anesthesia equipment across multiple rooms. You will support the perioperative team with sterile technique, equipment setup, and supply management to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities include setting up lines and monitoring devices, assisting with induction, and coordinating with OR, SPD, and Pharmacy for timely stock.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Advanced hospital training in allied health professions.
• Experience in health care settings, OR or Critical Care preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and asepsis required.
• Certified Anesthesia Technician or Certified Anesthesia Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists in the Operating Room and prepare medications, IV solutions and transducers.
• Stock and manage anesthesia supplies; ensure equipment is operational before cases.
• Set up IVs, arterial/central lines, Swan-Ganz, and patient monitoring devices for procedures.
• Maintain room turnover, coordinate with OR, SPD, and Pharmacy to assure supply availability.
• Adhere to infection control and hospital safety protocols.
