Job summary

Community Health Centers is seeking an Optometry Coordinator to supervise Optical site operations and coordinate clinical and non-clinical activities. You will liaise with Regional Directors, ensure a respectful work environment, and drive efficient daily workflows.

The role demands at least 3 years in Optometry, a high school diploma, and a valid Florida driver’s license; BLS certification within 30 days is required. Travel to multiple locations is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current/valid BLS certification required within 30 days.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Optometry practice.
• Travel to multiple locations required; valid Florida driver's license.
• Must respond to after-hour alarm calls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all responsibilities of the Optometric Technicians and enforce policies such as Time, Attendance & Punctuality and Dress & Grooming.
• Prepare and deliver employee appraisals, disciplinary actions, competencies, and coaching.
• Evaluate resumes/employment documents and assist in hiring decisions.
• Develop onboarding and training schedules for new staff and ensure training compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to Safety, Risk Management, OSHA and VFC requirements.
• Act as SME for EHR regarding optometry and manage patient flow, labs, and eyewear orders.
